Collection: British Shorthair Collection

British Shorthair — also known as the British Blue, Brit, BSH, Shorthair — is one of the oldest and most distinctly British cat breeds, with roots tracing back to domestic cats brought to Britain by the Romans. Selectively bred from the late 19th century, the British Shorthair was among the first breeds exhibited at the Crystal Palace cat show in 1871 and was formally recognised by the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF). Compact, round-faced, and famously plush-coated, the British Shorthair is as dignified as it is endearing — calm, loyal, and quietly devoted without being demanding.

This collection brings together all our British Shorthair doormats, available in natural coir and all-weather styles. Whether you're after a classic O-replacement design or a peeking British Shorthair mat, you'll find the full range here. For more cat breed styles, explore our Cat Collection.
