Bloodhound Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Sleuth Hound Welcome Mat

The Bloodhound, also known as the Sleuth Hound, Chien de Saint-Hubert and St. Hubert Hound, has a long history associated with the hounds bred by monks at the Abbey of Saint-Hubert in what is now Belgium. Its English name refers to a hound of noble or pure breeding, rather than a taste for blood. Celebrated for following human scent trails, the breed helped give us the word “sleuth” through the old term “sleuth hound”, meaning a tracking dog. Beneath those long ears and deeply wrinkled features is an affectionate, determined companion whose extraordinary nose has made it a valued search-and-tracking dog.

This coir doormat features a Bloodhound illustration peeking from the left edge, framed by a black rectangular border. Looking for Bloodhound doormats? Browse our full Bloodhound Collection to find your perfect match. For more breed styles, explore our comprehensive Dog Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Bloodhound household — far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
