Bluetick Hound Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Bluetick Welcome Mat

The Bluetick Hound, more formally the Bluetick Coonhound and also called the Bluetick or Blue Coonhound, was developed in the United States as a determined scent-tracking hound. Its distinctive blue appearance comes from black ticking on a white background rather than a solid blue coat. Once registered within the English Coonhound group, the Bluetick was recognised as a separate breed by the United Kennel Club in 1946. Known for its resonant bay and persistent nose, this athletic hound pairs a strong working heritage with an affectionate nature at home.

This coir doormat features a front-facing Bluetick illustration peeking from the left edge, with long drooping ears and a speckled muzzle inside a black rectangular border. For more breed styles, explore our comprehensive Dog Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Bluetick household — far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
