Borzoi Peeking Doormat #2 | Peeking Borzoi Welcome Mat

The Borzoi, also known as the Russian Wolfhound, Russian Sighthound, and Russkaya Psovaya Borzaya, was developed in Russia as a swift hunting companion prized by the aristocracy. Traditionally used in organised wolf hunts, these elegant sighthounds relied on keen vision and speed rather than scent to pursue their quarry. The breed was known as the Russian Wolfhound in the United States until its official name changed to Borzoi in 1936. With a long, narrow head, flowing coat and quietly affectionate nature, the Borzoi combines an unmistakable silhouette with a gentle, dignified presence at home.

This Borzoi coir doormat features a close-up Borzoi portrait peeking from the left edge, with an elongated muzzle, softly folded ears and wavy neck feathering inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Borzoi household — far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
