California Sea Lion Peeking Doormat #2 | Peeking Sea Lion Welcome Mat

The California Sea Lion, known scientifically as Zalophus californianus, brings plenty of personality to the shoreline. Its familiar barking is part of a lively vocabulary used by these sociable marine mammals as they gather on beaches, rocks and piers. Unlike true seals, sea lions have small external ear flaps and can rotate their hind flippers beneath their bodies to walk on land. Out at sea, they paddle with their powerful front flippers and use the rear pair to help steer.

This California Sea Lion Peeking Doormat #2 features a front-facing sea lion peeking from the edge on the left side, with a gently tilted head, large round eyes, small ear flaps, long whiskers and a detailed neck and chest, inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful gift for California Sea Lion lovers, marine wildlife enthusiasts and coastal nature admirers, this inquisitive whiskered face brings a little seaside charm to every homecoming.
