Chimpanzee Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Chimp Welcome Mat

The Chimpanzee, also known as the Chimp or Robust Chimpanzee and scientifically named Pan troglodytes, is a Great Ape native to the forests and woodland mosaics of tropical Africa. Chimpanzees live in complex communities, communicating through facial expressions, gestures and a rich range of vocalisations. In 1960, Jane Goodall's observations at Gombe documented wild Chimpanzees making and using tools to gather termites, helping transform scientific understanding of animal behaviour. Alongside Bonobos, Chimpanzees are our closest living animal relatives, with individual personalities and social traditions passed between generations.

This Chimpanzee coir doormat features a detailed Chimp portrait peeking from the left edge beside a leafy vine, framed by a black rectangular border. Expressive eyes and a gently curved mouth bring a touch of wildlife character to your entrance. For more animal-inspired designs, explore the Wildlife, Farm Animals & Nature Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Chimpanzee enthusiast, far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
