Chipmunk Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Chipmunk Welcome Mat

The Chipmunk, affectionately called Chippy and also known as the Chipping Squirrel, is a small member of the squirrel family, with the Eastern Chipmunk scientifically named Tamias striatus. The genus name Tamias comes from a Greek word meaning steward or treasurer, a fitting reference to its habit of storing food. Eastern Chipmunks carry seeds and nuts in expandable cheek pouches, then stash their supplies in underground burrows. Their distinctive stripes, sharp alarm calls and busy woodland foraging make these little animals a familiar sight across much of eastern North America.

This Chipmunk coir doormat features a smiling Chipmunk peeking up from the bottom-left corner, with rounded cheeks, upright ears, bright eyes and fine whiskers inside a black rectangular border. The cheerful woodland face adds a personal welcome to your daily homecoming. Looking for Chipmunk doormats? Browse the full Chipmunk Collection to find your perfect match. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any chipmunk enthusiast, far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
