Chow Chow Peeking Doormat #1 | Chow Welcome Mat

The Chow Chow — also known as the Chow or Songshi Quan, and affectionately described as a Fluffy Bear Dog — is an ancient Chinese breed with a distinctive lion-like appearance. Historically, these versatile dogs worked as hunters, guards and hauling dogs rather than simply lounging like furry royalty. Their blue-black tongues are one of their best-known traits, although puppies are born with pink tongues that darken as they grow. Chows come in both rough and smooth coats, sharing the breed's curled tail and characteristic stiff-legged gait.

Our Chow Chow Peeking Doormat #1 | Chow Welcome Mat features a Chow peeking from the left edge with small upright ears, a thick fluffy ruff, expressive eyes and an open mouth with its tongue showing. The black illustration sits inside a rectangular border on textured natural coir, offering a familiar furry greeting before your own Chow checks who's at the door; discover more canine designs in our Dogs Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming, birthday or holiday gift for a Chow Chow lover, this fluffy face brings a little bear-dog charm to an indoor entrance or sheltered porch.
