Connemara Pony Peeking Doormat #1 | Irish Sport Pony Welcome Mat

The Connemara Pony, often simply called the Connemara, comes from the rugged west coast of Ireland, where generations of ponies developed the sure-footedness and hardiness the breed is known for. These versatile ponies once helped families with farm work and carried loads along rough tracks. The Connemara Pony Breeders' Society was founded in 1923 to preserve and improve the breed. Today, this athletic Irish Sport Pony, sometimes described as a Connemara Sport Pony, is admired for its jumping ability and versatility in disciplines from dressage to eventing.

This Connemara Pony peeking coir doormat features a pony peeking from the left edge beside a stable door with visible hinges, with upright ears, expressive eyes and a tousled mane inside a black rectangular border. Explore related designs in our Horse, Donkey & Mule Collection, English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh Collection and Wildlife & Farm Animals Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful gift for Connemara lovers, pony enthusiasts and admirers of Ireland's equestrian heritage, this expressive portrait brings a little stable-yard charm to every homecoming.
