Corgi Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Pembroke Welsh Corgi Welcome Mat

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi, often called the Corgi or Pembroke, is a compact herding dog with deep roots in Wales. The wider Welsh Corgi family also includes the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, often called the Cardigan, a distinct breed rather than another name for the Pembroke. Bred to move cattle, Pembrokes combine a low-set build with surprising agility and a confident working spirit. Queen Elizabeth II’s lifelong affection for Pembrokes helped make their upright ears and fox-like faces recognisable around the world.

This Corgi coir doormat features a Pembroke Welsh Corgi portrait peeking from the left edge inside a black rectangular border, with expressive eyes and prominent upright ears. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Pembroke Welsh Corgi household, far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.

FAQ

1. Who is this doormat designed for?

This doormat is made for Pembroke Welsh Corgi lovers, whether you call your favourite companion a Corgi, Pembroke or Welsh Corgi. The design depicts a Pembroke; the Cardigan, or Cardigan Welsh Corgi, is a separate Welsh Corgi breed. If a Pembroke has claimed your heart (and your sofa), this mat belongs at your front door.

2. What makes this doormat unique?

The design features a Pembroke Welsh Corgi peeking from the left edge, with expressive eyes and upright ears framed by a black rectangular border. Printed on natural coir fiber, the illustration has a warm, textured finish and a distinctive breed-specific character rather than a generic welcome message. For more Corgi doormat styles, browse our Corgi Collection.

3. What sizes are available?

This doormat comes in three sizes: 16x24" / 41x61cm (ideal for apartment doors and side entries), 18x30" / 46x76cm (fits most standard front doors), and 24x36" / 61x91cm (great for wider entryways and double doors).

4. Can this mat be used outdoors?

Natural coir performs best in covered or sheltered entryways, such as a covered porch, a recessed doorway or an indoor hall. It is not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use where it would be subject to direct rain or standing water. If you need a fully weatherproof option, please contact us.

5. How do I care for this coir doormat?

Shake or brush the mat clean to remove loose dirt and debris. Avoid prolonged moisture exposure and standing water, and keep it in an indoor or covered outdoor entryway to help protect the natural coir fibers.

6. Is this a good gift for a Corgi lover?

Absolutely. It’s a thoughtful, distinctive gift for any Pembroke Welsh Corgi household, whether for a housewarming, a new puppy celebration or simply to honour a much-loved companion. Tag us at @pupularmats — we love seeing the mats in their new home.
