Desert Cottontail Rabbit Peeking Doormat #1 | Rabbit Welcome Mat

The Desert Cottontail (Sylvilagus audubonii), also known as Audubon's Cottontail, is a small rabbit with a fluffy white tail that looks rather like a cotton ball. Its large ears do more than listen for trouble: they also help it release body heat. These rabbits tend to venture out in the cooler mornings and evenings, spending the hottest hours tucked beneath grass or brush. Despite the desert name, they also make themselves at home in grasslands and shrublands across the southwestern United States and into Mexico.

The Desert Cottontail Rabbit Peeking Doormat #1 features a seated rabbit peeking from the left edge among tufts of grass, with tall upright ears, fine whiskers and detailed fur. The black illustration sits inside a black rectangular border on natural coir, leaving an open expanse of coir to the right. Explore more designs in our Wildlife & Farm Animals Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming or birthday gift for a rabbit lover, wildlife enthusiast or someone who enjoys watching the small visitors in their garden, this alert cottontail brings a little desert character to the doorstep.
