English Setter Peeking Doormat #1 | Laverack Welcome Mat

The English Setter, also known as the Laverack Setter or Lawerack, combines a gentle, friendly nature with the graceful looks behind its nickname, Gentleman of the Dog World. Its ancestors located game birds and crouched low, or “set,” so hunters could cast nets, giving the Setter its name long before modern field sports. In 19th-century England, Edward Laverack helped shape the elegant show lines, while Richard Purcell Llewellin developed field-focused lines; the Llewellin Setter is a type of English Setter, not a separate breed. The breed’s distinctive speckled colouring is called belton, and its silky feathering, softly hanging ears and kind, dark eyes give this English Setter Dog such a recognisable face.

Our English Setter Peeking Doormat #1 | Laverack Welcome Mat features an expressive English Setter peeking from the left edge, framed by a simple black rectangular border on natural coir. Discover more breed-inspired designs in our English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh Collection and Dogs Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.
