Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion Peeking Doormat #1 | Scorpion Welcome Mat

With its impressive pincers and curled tail, the Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion, also called the Desert Hairy Scorpion or Arizona Giant Hairy Scorpion and scientifically known as Hadrurus arizonensis, is quite a character of the desert. It is the largest Scorpion in the United States, making its home in parts of the American Southwest and neighbouring Mexico. The hairs that give it its name are sensory tools, helping it detect movement and vibrations around it. A determined digger, this Giant Hairy Scorpion follows moisture deeper into the soil as conditions dry, creating burrows that can reach several feet below the desert surface.

Our Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion Peeking Doormat #1 | Scorpion Welcome Mat features a Scorpion peeking from the left edge among rocky details, with prominent pincers and a raised, curled tail framed by a simple black rectangular border. Picture this desert character greeting visitors at a Southwestern retreat or adding an unexpected wildlife touch to your everyday entrance. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A welcoming housewarming, birthday or holiday gift for a Scorpion lover, arachnid enthusiast or someone who enjoys the remarkable wildlife of the desert.
