Huacaya Alpaca Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Vicugna Pacos Welcome Mat

The Huacaya Alpaca, often affectionately described as a Fluffy Alpaca, is one of the two fleece types of Alpaca, scientifically known as Vicugna pacos. Raised in the Andes for thousands of years, Alpacas provided fibre for textiles long before the rise of the Inca Empire. The Huacaya is distinguished by dense, crimped fleece that grows outward from the body, creating its rounded, teddy-bear appearance, unlike the long locks of the Suri. These social camelids communicate with gentle humming sounds and have padded feet that help them move across their highland surroundings.

This Huacaya Alpaca coir doormat features a smiling Alpaca peeking from the left edge, with upright ears, expressive eyes and a fluffy forelock inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Alpaca enthusiast, far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
