Italian Greyhound Doormat #1 | Iggy Welcome Mat

The Italian Greyhound — known affectionately as the Iggy, IG, or Mini Greyhound — is one of the oldest toy breeds in the world, with a history stretching back over 2,000 years to ancient Egypt and the Mediterranean. Prized by Renaissance nobility and depicted in countless European paintings, the Italian Greyhound is a breed of quiet elegance: slender, swift, and deeply devoted. This Italian Greyhound coir doormat features an Iggy illustration replacing the letter O in HOME — a breed-proud welcome for anyone who shares their life with this graceful little sighthound.

Made from durable natural coir fibers (coconut), this dog-themed welcome mat effectively traps dirt and debris while adding a rustic, natural touch to your entryway. The sturdy non-slip backing keeps the mat securely in place, making it ideal for front doors, porches, and covered outdoor areas. Looking for Italian Greyhound doormats? Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this doormat designed for?
This doormat is designed for Italian Greyhound lovers — anyone who shares their home with an Iggy, IG, Mini Greyhound, Italian Sighthound, or Pocket Greyhound and wants to celebrate the breed right at their front door. The O-replacement design puts the Iggy's sleek silhouette front and centre in the word HOME, making it a breed-proud statement piece for any entryway.

What makes this doormat unique?
The design centres on a detailed Iggy illustration that replaces the letter O in HOME — a subtle, clever nod to the breed that dog lovers immediately recognise. Unlike mass-produced welcome mats, this one is crafted specifically for Italian Greyhound enthusiasts, combining natural coir texture with a design that feels personal rather than just  decorative.

What sizes are available?
This doormat comes in three sizes: 16x24" / 41x61cm, 18x30" / 46x76cm, and 24x36" / 61x91cm — fitting everything from compact apartment entries to wide double-door thresholds. Browse our full Dog Breed Collection to compare options.

Can this mat be used outdoors?
Coir is best suited to covered or sheltered areas such as a covered porch or indoor entryway — it is not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use. For areas exposed to direct rain or standing water, we recommend our all-weather version of this design.

Is this a good gift for an Italian Greyhound lover?
Absolutely — this mat makes a thoughtful housewarming, birthday, or holiday gift for any Italian Greyhound or Iggy owner who appreciates breed-proud home décor. It arrives ready to gift and suits any home style, from modern minimalist to cosy cottage. Tag us at @pupularmats — we love seeing Iggies represented at front doors everywhere.
