Little Owl Peeking Doormat #2 | Owl Welcome Mat

The Little Owl (Athene noctua) may be small, but it has plenty of character, especially when it bobs its head up and down after spotting something alarming. Native across much of Europe, northern Africa and parts of Asia, the Little Owl was introduced to Britain in the nineteenth century. Unlike some of its more secretive relatives, it can be seen in daylight perched on branches, posts or rocks. In flight, its rounded wings beat quickly and give it a distinctive little bounce.

The Little Owl Peeking Doormat #2 features an upright owl peeking from the left edge beside a tree trunk, perched on a short branch with its talons clearly visible. Its large round eyes, speckled crown and finely marked breast feathers stand out in black on natural coir, framed by a black rectangular border with open space to the right. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming or birthday gift for an owl lover, birdwatcher or countryside enthusiast, this perched little visitor brings a watchful welcome to the doorstep.
