Mule Deer Peeking Doormat #2 | Deer Welcome Mat

The Mule Deer (Odocoileus hemionus) gets its name from those wonderfully oversized ears, which resemble a mule's. At home in the rugged landscapes of western North America, it has a distinctive way of making a quick getaway. Its stiff-legged bounds, called stotting, bring all four feet down together and have earned it the nickname Jumping Deer. Those springy leaps help it navigate rough ground and see above thick brush.

The Mule Deer Peeking Doormat #2 features an antlered deer peeking from the left edge, with a tilted head, oversized ears and finely marked fur. Branching antlers rise above the black illustration, which stands out against natural coir inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming or birthday gift for a deer lover, wildlife enthusiast or someone with a cabin retreat, this antlered visitor adds a curious welcome to the doorstep.
