Papillon Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Pappy Welcome Mat

The Papillon — also known as the Pappy and Butterfly Dog — is a small companion spaniel named after the French word for butterfly, a reference to its distinctive upright, fringed ears. Its toy spaniel ancestors were cherished companions in European courts and appeared in paintings by artists such as Titian and Van Dyck. Earlier toy spaniels often had dropped ears; that ear variety is known as the Phalène, meaning moth in French. Despite their delicate appearance, Papillons are lively, intelligent dogs that often excel in agility and enjoy learning alongside their people.

This Papillon coir doormat features a Pappy with large, fringed upright ears and bright, expressive eyes peeking from the left edge inside a black rectangular border, printed on a natural coir mat in three sizes.
