Pigeon Peeking Doormat #1 – Peeking Rock Dove Welcome Mat

The Pigeon, also known as the Rock Pigeon or Rock Dove and scientifically as Columba livia, is the wild ancestor of domestic pigeons. People have kept pigeons for thousands of years, making them one of our oldest domesticated birds. Their remarkable homing ability led to their use as messengers long before modern communications. Wild Rock Doves nest on cliffs, while their urban descendants find similar ledges on buildings and bridges.

This coir doormat features a curious Pigeon peeking from the left edge beside a decorative vertical panel, with a tilted head and finely detailed feathers inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A charming gift for Pigeon lovers and birdwatchers, bringing an inquisitive feathered greeting to every homecoming.
