Polar Bear Peeking Doormat #1 | Ursus Maritimus Welcome Mat

The Polar Bear, also known as the White Bear or Ice Bear, has the scientific name Ursus maritimus, meaning Sea Bear, a fitting name for an animal so closely tied to Arctic waters. Polar Bears use sea ice as a platform for hunting seals, their main prey. Their broad front paws help propel them through the water, making them powerful swimmers. Beneath that pale-looking coat is black skin, while a thick layer of fat helps insulate them against the cold.

This Polar Bear peeking coir doormat features a bear peeking from the left edge, with rounded ears, expressive eyes, a dark nose and finely detailed fur inside a black rectangular border. Explore related designs in our Wildlife & Farm Animals Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful gift for Polar Bear lovers and Arctic wildlife enthusiasts, this detailed portrait brings a little northern character to every homecoming.
