Portuguese Podengo Pequeno Peeking Doormat #1 | Portuguese Warren Hound Welcome Mat

The Portuguese Podengo Pequeno — also known as the Podengo Pequeno, Small Portuguese Podengo or Little Portuguese Warren Hound — is the smallest of Portugal's three Podengo sizes. This lively Warren Hound was developed to hunt rabbits through dense cover and rocky terrain, using scent, sight and hearing together. The breed comes in two coat varieties, the Wirehaired Podengo Pequeno and Smoothhaired Podengo Pequeno, both sharing those unmistakable upright ears. “Pequeno” means “small” in Portuguese, but this alert little hound brings plenty of energy and personality.

Our Portuguese Podengo Pequeno Peeking Doormat #1 | Portuguese Warren Hound Welcome Mat features a Podengo Pequeno peeking from the left edge with tall pointed ears, expressive eyes, a gently tilted head and a closed-mouth expression. A black rectangular border frames the detailed portrait on textured natural coir, ready to greet visitors before your own curious hound investigates; explore more canine designs in our Hounds Collection and Dogs Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming, birthday or holiday gift for a Portuguese Podengo Pequeno lover, this bright-eyed portrait brings a little Warren Hound character to an indoor entrance or sheltered porch.
