Saint Bernard Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking St. Bernard Welcome Mat

The Saint Bernard — also known as the St. Bernard, Gentle Giant, Alpine Mastiff, Barry Dog, Saint, and Monastery Dog — is a Swiss Alpine breed closely associated with the hospice at the Great St Bernard Pass. The hospice's dogs became renowned for helping locate travellers lost in snow along the mountain route between Switzerland and Italy. One of the most celebrated rescue dogs, Barry, worked there in the early nineteenth century and helped establish the breed's enduring lifesaving reputation. Their powerful build, expressive faces and famously gentle temperament have made Saint Bernards cherished companions far beyond their Alpine homeland.

This Saint Bernard coir doormat features a St. Bernard with expressive eyes, drooping ears and a broad muzzle peeking from the left edge inside a black rectangular border, printed on a natural coir mat in three sizes.
