Saluki Peeking Doormat #1 | Persian Greyhound Welcome Mat

The Saluki — also known as the Persian Greyhound, Gazelle Hound or Arabian Hound, and often called the Royal Dog of Egypt — has a long history as a treasured Middle Eastern sighthound. Traditionally bred to pursue swift game across open country, Salukis rely on keen eyesight, speed and stamina rather than following a scent trail. The breed comes in both smooth and feathered varieties, with the feathered Saluki sporting silky fringes on its ears and tail. Behind that elegant outline is an independent, sensitive companion that often forms especially close bonds with its family.

Our Saluki Peeking Doormat #1 | Persian Greyhound Welcome Mat features a Saluki peeking from the left edge with long feathered ears, expressive eyes, a narrow muzzle and a gently tilted head. A black rectangular border frames the detailed portrait on textured natural coir, giving visitors a gentle greeting before your own hound appears; discover more canine designs in our Sighthounds Collection, Hounds Collection and Dogs Collection.

Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways — not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming, birthday or holiday gift for a Saluki lover, this flowing-eared portrait brings a little Persian Greyhound elegance to an indoor entrance or sheltered porch.
