Scottish Wildcat Doormat #2 | All-Weather | Highland Wildcat Welcome Mat

The Scottish Wildcat — also known as the Highland Wildcat, Highland Tiger, British Wildcat, British Wild Cat, Scottish Mountain Cat, Scottish Forest Cat, British Tiger, and Cat Fiadhaich (the Gaelic name meaning 'wild cat') — is Britain's only remaining native wild cat species and one of the world's most endangered felids. Felis silvestris grampia has roamed the Scottish Highlands for thousands of years, surviving the ice age and the extinction of wolves and bears in Britain. Larger, more muscular, and fiercely untameable compared to domestic cats, the Scottish Wildcat is distinguished by its thick tabby coat, boldly ringed tail, and a temperament that has never been domesticated — not once in recorded history. Fewer than 300 are believed to remain in the wild, making conservation efforts in the Scottish Highlands among the most urgent in Europe.

This all-weather doormat features a Scottish Wildcat illustration replacing the letter O in HOME — a fierce, species-specific design that makes its presence known from the doorstep. This doormat is made for Scottish Wildcat supporters, wildlife lovers, and anyone with a connection to the Scottish Highlands — fans of the cat known as the Highland Wildcat, Highland Tiger, British Wildcat, British Wild Cat, Scottish Mountain Cat, Scottish Forest Cat, British Tiger, and Cat Fiadhaich. If the rarest wild cat in Britain has captured your imagination, this mat belongs at your front door.

What makes this doormat unique?
The design features a Scottish Wildcat illustration replacing the letter O in HOME — a fierce, species-specific detail that sets it apart from mass-produced cat or wildlife mats. Printed with UV-cured inks on a linen-look woven polyester, the design stays vivid through sun, rain, and heavy foot traffic. Why choose an all-weather doormat?
All-weather polyester doormats are built for year-round performance in any conditions — direct rain, standing water, and prolonged sun exposure that would degrade a natural coir mat. The UV-cured inks resist fading and the non-slip backing holds firm on wet surfaces, making this mat equally at home on a fully exposed front step or a covered porch. Prefer a natural fiber option? Check out our coir version of this design.

Can this mat be used outdoors?
Yes — this all-weather polyester mat is fully weatherproof and designed for fully exposed outdoor use. It handles rain, sun, and all conditions without deteriorating, making it a reliable choice for any entryway.

What size is available?
This all-weather doormat comes in one size: 18x30" / 46x76cm, which fits most standard front doors and entryways.

Is this a good gift for a wildlife or Scotland lover?

Particularly meaningful for anyone who supports wildcat conservation efforts in Scotland. Tag us at @pupularmats — we love seeing the mats in their new home.
