Shih Tzu Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Shih Tzu Welcome Mat

The Shih Tzu has Tibetan roots and was developed as a treasured companion in the Chinese imperial court. Its name means “lion dog,” reflecting the small lion-like appearance admired by its early breeders. Bred for companionship rather than hunting or herding, the Shih Tzu is known for its affectionate nature, expressive eyes and flowing coat. The breed was recognised by the American Kennel Club in 1969 and remains a much-loved household companion.

This Shih Tzu coir doormat features a Shih Tzu peeking in from the left, with a topknot, expressive eyes and a detailed flowing coat inside a black rectangular border. Looking for Shih Tzu doormats? Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A distinctive, personal gift for any Shih Tzu household, far more thoughtful than anything off the shelf.
