Welsh Terrier Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Welshie Welcome Mat

The Welsh Terrier — also known as the Welshie, Black and Tan Wire Retriever, Old English Terrier, and Welsh Black and Tan Terrier — is a spirited working terrier that originated in Wales, where it was bred to hunt foxes, otters and badgers. Descended from the old black-and-tan terrier tradition, the breed carries a long history of working alongside people in the Welsh countryside. Its dense, wiry coat offered protection in rough terrain, while its distinctive beard and folded ears remain hallmarks of the breed today. Compact, intelligent and full of character, Welshies combine an independent terrier spirit with a playful, affectionate nature.

This Welsh Terrier coir doormat features a bearded Welshie with a tilted head peeking from the left edge inside a black rectangular border, printed on a natural coir mat in three sizes. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.
