Whippet Doormat #3 | Whippet Welcome Mat

The Whippet, also known as the English Whippet, is a British sighthound known for its remarkable speed, slender build and gentle nature. Its popularity in inexpensive racing earned it the nickname Poor Man's Racehorse. Rag racing, in which dogs chased a waving cloth, helped inspire the name Lightning Ragdog, while Snap Dog recalls the breed's quick pursuit of small prey. Despite their athletic history, Whippets are affectionate companions known for enjoying a comfortable place to curl up after a sprint.

This Whippet Doormat #3 features a shaded, forward-facing Whippet illustration that replaces the letter O in HOME, with folded ears, expressive eyes, a long slender muzzle and two front paws beneath the portrait, all inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful housewarming, birthday or new puppy gift for a Whippet-loving household, adding a familiar English Whippet face to the welcome at the front door.
