Whooper Swan Peeking Doormat #1 | Peeking Cygnus Cygnus Welcome Mat

The Whooper Swan, known scientifically as Cygnus cygnus and often simply called the Whooper, gets its name from a loud, trumpeting call you might hear before you spot the bird. These long-distance travellers breed across northern Europe and Asia, then head for milder wetlands when winter arrives. Their yellow-and-black bills are a handy clue for birdwatchers, with the yellow usually stretching into a wedge towards the bill tip. Whoopers often form long-lasting pairs, and families can stay together through their first winter journey.

This coir doormat features a Whooper Swan peeking from the left edge, with a finely lined head and neck, a dark eye and a yellow-and-black bill inside a black rectangular border. Crafted from natural coir fibre (coconut husk), this mat effectively traps dirt and debris at the door. The sturdy non-slip rubber backing keeps it securely in place. Natural coir is best suited for covered or sheltered entryways, not recommended for fully exposed outdoor use.

A thoughtful gift for swan lovers, birdwatchers and wetland wildlife enthusiasts, this expressive portrait brings a little waterside charm to every homecoming.
